For bushfire consultants
The consent that orders bushfire protection work, in writing.
975 applications in the councils we read sit on bushfire-prone ground, 365 already name a bushfire consultant in their documents, and 78 consents order bushfire protection work outright, at a stage that is funded. Here is one of those.
8 BYRON BAY ROAD LENNOX HEAD 2478Ballina Shire Council · 2026-06-11 · due during works
45. Planning for Bush Fire Protection Before the issue of the Subdivision Certificate a statement is to be provided from the accredited bush fire consultant confirming that conditions 1 and 2 of the NSW Rural Fire Service Bushfire Safety Authority, dated 23 April 2026 , have been complied with. Certification is also to be provided from suitably qualified persons to confirm compliance with condition 3 (Construction Standards) of the NSW Rural Fire Service Bushfire Safety Authority, dated 23 April 2026. Condition Reason: To ensure the development complies with Planning for Bushfire Protection 2019.
The wording as parsed from the determination record. We hold the text unaltered but not the document it came from, so we do not claim it as the council’s own. Read from the register on 30 August 2026. An account opens the rest of them, and who to contact.
What a row says, and what it does not
- The whole condition, the stage it is due before, and the firms already named on that application.
- Bushfire-prone is the mapped RFS category: a candidate trigger for assessment, not a finding that a report is owed or missing.
- Contacts are business points of contact of record from the application, never homeowner or occupier lists. Where the documents named nobody the row says none on file.
Counts are stated as of the last ingest run, not live: we never claim “daily”, because it would not be true. Check your councils, see real output, ask for a bushfire pack, or start free for 14 days.
