BuildsConnect

Home/How it works

Set it once. Then just get the work sooner.

BuildsConnect turns the scattered public record of every new NSW development into a simple feed of the jobs that are actually yours. Here’s the whole thing, end to end.

01

Tell us your trades and your patch

Pick the trades you do: electrician, plumber, roofer, chippie, whatever it is. Then choose the councils you cover. It takes a minute, and you can change it any time as your work shifts. No two setups are the same, and yours only ever surfaces work that fits it.

02

We watch every new NSW DA

Every development application in NSW passes through one state planning register, and we see all of it - 128 councils. We read the documents behind those applications in depth for a growing share of those councils, and work out which trades the project is going to need, based on what’s being built, so a two-storey dwelling and a warehouse fit-out don’t reach the same people.

03

You get the signal, early

When a genuinely-recent DA needs your trade in your area, it arrives by email with the full context (email only, SMS is not available): address, council, DA reference, project and likely value. There’s still time to get your quote in ahead of the pack, and every alert carries the DA reference so you can verify it yourself.

What a signal looks like

One DA, in your inbox.

Illustrative example, not a real alert.

What you get

Only the jobs that are actually yours.

Matched to your trade

We read each development and work out which trades it needs, so you only hear about work that’s relevant to you.

Genuinely recent

Ongoing alerts fire only on DAs determined after you sign up, no stale backlog dripped out as if it were news. The existing matching backlog arrives once, as a starter digest on day one, clearly marked as such. After that you’re quoting live opportunities instead of chasing jobs that are already done.

In your patch

Filtered to the councils you actually work. No noise from the other side of the state, just your area.

Early enough to matter

You hear at the moment your feed fires on, and the feed says which: a lodged document, a determination that ordered your discipline, a certificate stage. Never a replay of something already on the record when you signed up.

Not a tradie?

Same record, twelve more kinds of buyer.

Alerts are one product of 41. If you’re a supplier, professional, lender, recruiter or data team, the same record is productised for you, and the path in is just as short.

1. Find your line of work

The catalogue is organised by buyer: 13 groups, 40 live products, from spec-tracking for manufacturers to consent histories for certifiers. Start on the products page or straight in the app.

2. See it before you pay

Create a free account and open any product page: it shows the live coverage, the honest labels and the delivery modes before a dollar changes hands. No card needed to look around.

3. Delivered your way

Dashboards, weekly digests, per-lead packs, CSV export or the metered API, each product lists exactly the modes it really has, and nothing it doesn’t.
