Home/Licensing
Data & API licensing.
Subscriptions cover use inside your own business. Building the data into something you ship to your customers takes a data licence: here are the shapes we offer, indicatively.
Tier 1
Internal use
Use the data and API inside your own organisation: BI, CRM enrichment, underwriting and risk models, internal tooling.
- Covers your employees and internal systems
- No republication or serving to third parties
- NSW planning-data attribution retained wherever the data is displayed
- Standard API rate limits and support
Tier 2
Redistribution
Serve the data, or products derived from it, to your own customers: portals, reports, feeds, embedded features.
- Named products and distribution channels, agreed per contract
- Attribution to BuildsConnect BuildsConnect and to the NSW planning data source (published by NSW DPHI)
- Honesty labels travel with the data: inferred and measured signals stay labelled downstream
- Volume-based terms; elevated rate limits
Tier 3
White-label
The data and signals under your brand, inside your product, with contractual service levels to match.
- Your branding on the product surface; BuildsConnect need not be named
- Attribution to the NSW planning data source still required: published by NSW DPHI is the state’s licence, and no agreement with us can waive it
- Custom SLAs, dedicated support, contractual data-quality commitments
- Annual contract
Obligations that apply to every tier
- Source attribution passes through. The underlying development data is NSW planning data published by NSW DPHI. Wherever the data is displayed or republished, attribution to that source must be retained, by us and by you.
- The contacts wall holds downstream. No licence tier includes private owners’ personal details. They are excluded at the database layer and are not ours to license. See the contacts policy.
- Honesty labels are part of the data. Inference labels, confidence fields and coverage caveats (see the methodology) are part of the licensed material; redistribution that strips them misrepresents the data and is outside licence.
For API mechanics (endpoints, rate limits, the response envelope), see the developer docs at app.buildsconnect.com.au/developers. General service terms are in the terms (also draft, also flagged).
